We had an awesome celebration last night in PV for the 88th annual banquet. Big year for service awards for our volunteers. I am so proud of her and this volunteer community. I will share Kathy's words as it sums it up well!
...A great night of celebration at the Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Company. Steve did an awesome job as Emcee. Many of us getting service awards, 40 years for me... a life goes so fast! I was blessed to grow up here in this small community, and to meet Steve taking that the First Aid Class to ride the Ambulance when I was a young Nursing school student. We were a great medic team. Tonight we attended the educational seminar on Human Trafficking at Carroll Hospital Center. Guest speaker was Steve Hess from the Unuted States Attorney's Office representing the State of Maryland. He explored the types of human trafficking red flags for identifying victims, and resources available.
